About the PRO

The Public Revenue Office (PRO) is a state body within the Ministry of Finance, performing as a legal entity, acting uniquely throughout the territory of the Republic of Macedonia.

In our scope of operation are tax law enforcement, tax collection and tax evidence, as well as following and analyzing tax revenues and the implementation of tax regulations and tax system functioning.
We collect and administer:
- Direct taxes- Personal taxation and Income tax
- Indirect taxes- VAT and Excise duties
Other PRO competencies are cash registers and lotteries.

We are cooperating with tax administration from other countries, following the implementation of international agreements in the area of taxes and providing international legal help.

We are as well authorized to collect and process data on paid and collected taxes and to suggest amendments to the tax policy, tax regulations and other regulations in order to promote the tax system and increase the efficiency in tax collection.
