Skopje - from 26-28 January 2012, high management representatives from the Albanian Tax Administration, led by the General Director Mr. Gazmir Spahija have been on a working visit in the premises of the PRO. In the past years, the cooperation between the Macedonian and Albanian tax authorities has been intensified through the creation of common policies and taking concrete operational measures for high-risk companies that gravitate in the markets of the two neighboring countries. In this regard, during the three-day visit, the tax officers of Republic of Macedonia and Albania have agreed the next steps and directions of their common activities in relation to tax audits, which will be conducted in the forthcoming period...

Skopje – August 9th 2011, was held the first of the four planned training on "Effective Communication Skills for Tax Auditors and Tax Enforcement Officers" which will be implemented within the Project "Support of Tax Reform," funded by the European Union IPA2007. Considering the fact that still prevails in the public perception of the PRO as repressive authority, mostly due to the nature of functions such as "Tax Inspectorate" and "Tax Enforcement", the main goal and interest of the training is to improve the skills and techniques of communication of the employees who need to ensure confidence in our professionalism, efficiency, transparency and service orientation, as well as implementation of the Program for continuous learning and development of this topic...

Do we need only to manage or to be a leader, is the main focus of the Program "Leadership and Management" which started to be implemented in the Public Revenue Office. The program aims to establish continuous training of the management in the tax administration and improve their management capabilities. Program “Leadership and Management” is realized within the Project "Support of Tax Reform”, financed by the European Union (IPA 2007) in cooperation with the Dutch project supported by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Skopje - From 9th till 20th May within the Public Revenue Office a Regional Blueprints Exercise on Taxation and Customs was organized, funded by the European Commission within the Instrument of Pre-Accession Assistance to the Western Balkans and Turkey (IPA). The overall objective of the Project is to evaluate the administrative capacity of the Public Revenue Office and Custom Administration of Republic of Macedonia by using the framework offered by the Fiscal and Customs Blueprints, published by the EC’s DG TAXUD.

Skopje – From 21 to 22 of March 2011, the four member delegation of the Kosovo’s Tax Administration, headed by the Director Mr. Bedget Haliti is present in the premises of the Public Revenue Office. The main topic and interest of the bilateral meeting is the establishment of communication and the further steps of both Administrations, related to the announcement of the conclusion of International Agreement for avoiding double taxation or non-taxation between Macedonia and Kosovo.
